Members lay out their gear in anticipation of the two minute drill. Two minutes is the allotted time a firefighter is given while in the fire academy to don all of his/her personal protective equipment properly and be breathing off of their SCBA (self contained breathing apparatus). Not only is it a great drill for members before going off to fire school. It is a great drill to preform to remember all the pieces of protective clothing a member must wear into a structure fire to be safe.

Firefighters prepare for the simulation by laying out the equipment that could be needed. Seen here are high pressure air bags used to lift heavy object.

Firefighter Anuszkiewicz and Firefighter Cowan use cribbing to secure the table in this simulated exercise. The exercise was to simulate a patient trapped under a car and members had to raise the "car" off the person and keep it stabilized as they went.

A different look at the exercise where the "car" or table is unstable and would have to be lifted with extreme care. The cup on top was filled to the brim with water. If any water spilled out members had to restart the exercise.
